September Book Club

We’re back! This month we read Marcus Kliewer’s debut novel, We Used To Live Here.  This psychological thriller left us asking many questions and wanting more!  We follow Eve Palmer and her partner, Charlie, who are the new owners of an old house in the middle of nowhere. It doesn’t take long for things to take a strange turn when a family knocks on the door claiming to have grown up in the house years ago and asking if they can look around to reminisce. As soon as they enter the house, uncanny and inexplicable things start happening and worse yet, Eve can’t seem to get the family to leave. Things go from bad to worse when Charlie disappears and Eve slowly loses her grip on reality.  The constant internal battle, is this all in Eve’s head or is there something more sinister going on?  Overall the group gave this a 4/5 stars!
